Return of the Jerk!

If you listened to last week's Dameshek on Demand podcasts, you may have heard the Han Solo edition blaster unleashed on a former native son who is now no longer welcome in Pittsburgh, PA. I believe that we can find others who may also deserve to be the target of said blasts and submit them to him.

Perhaps the Dave will order a handful of them each week to be blasted by a trained triggerman (always pointing out that it was their deeds that merited the punishment), broken up with a light-hearted reward for those who have done good deeds. Then, perhaps, one final person/group of people might be named the worst person/group of people in the last seven days, and, after one final shot, the blaster shall be put away in its holster until the next time it is required to do its solemn duty.

Thoughts?

It wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

I don't think the Jerk List is going to come back as long as Dave is employed by 710 ESPN, but he has been using the Han Solo edition blaster on people for a bit since the Jerk List went away (usually just Skylar though)

If ESPN was the culprit for the demise of The Jerk List, then SHAME! on them.

Get a sense of humor ESPN for christs sake. What a bunch of wusses.

It wasn't just speculation. Dave made a post about it, then deleted it shortly thereafter. He said that ESPN didn't approve of "personal attacks" and also asked that we not do so on the board either. He also made a post asking that we watch our language and not criticize any ESPN employees or anything like that, but then he abandoned the board within a couple weeks and everyone kind of went back to normal.

I had forgotten about that. Good call back.

On a related note, is it just me or does The Daves absence from the board for some months open back up the ability for members of the Shek Republic to speak freely of members of the Four Letter?

All I know is that I was only referring to a simple series of words that are connected by a theme of boorish behavior. I made no references to the Worldwide Leader whatsoever.

Lets let the calling out of nefarious persons go under the radar. It is a good part of the cast.

This whole thread makes me pine for the old days. **Sigh**

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but ever since The Ed got his own website and starting putting on the Good and Bad Sides on it, Dameshek has made it a point everytime he's on to ask him about it. I think The Ed's Good/Bad sides have become a replacement for the Jerk List myself.
